Alberton Market Days
12/03/2017 - 09/04/2017
A fun, family friendly monthly outdoor Sunday market featuring fresh produce, plants & flowers, artisan food stalls, and handmade items with entertainment, coffee and a pop-up tearoom on the verandah at Alberton. Every second Sunday of the month from November to April (except January).
Bring the whole family and join us for a leisurely day in Alberton's idyllic garden setting.
As well as seasonal fruit direct from the orchards & organic vegetables from Mt Albert's Sanctuary Community Garden, there will be honey, fresh cut flowers, homemade preserves, pickles and jams, locally sourced meats and sausages, nut butters, homemade kombutcha, artisan breads, pastries and sweet treats.
Local makers and crafty types will be selling beautiful handmade home-wares, cards, prints, candles, kids clothes and toys, beauty products and other unique trinkets.
A range of street food stalls and caravans will have delicious sweet treats and savoury options on offer. Enjoy tea and scones served from vintage china cups on the verandah.
There will be giveaways and competitions (a huge hamper of goodies donated to by the stallholders), music by Jasper Hawkins, children's activities and fairy face-painting.
Sunday Star Times columnist, gardener extraordinaire and all-round domestic goddess Lynda Hallinan returns as our special guest offering gardening tips in a free talk at 12:30pm. She will be there all day with copies of her latest book The Foggydale Farm Jam Sessions.
