    Visit Highwic and make your own set of semaphore flags then practice sending messages. Semaphore was used by sailors to communicate from ship to ship before the invention of the radio. Activity suitable for children over five years.

    Highwic’s beautifully restored coal range will be fired up ready for kids to make their own ANZAC biscuits on the coal range – just like their great-grandmothers did during the First World War.  Places are limited over two sessions, so please book early.  Suitable for primary age children 7 and over.

    This exhibition at Highwic explores changes in bridal fashion over the 20th century, focusing on dresses from 1930s to 1970s from a private collection.

  • A treat for Mothers' Day 14/05/2017

    A concert of favourite music for mothers of all ages performed by singers, harpists, cellos, flute and piano presented by Cathie Harrop.  Enjoy a glass of wine or juice before the concert and the bonus of entry to Highwic and the chance to view the special exhibition of vintage wedding dresses in the Ballroom.
