Silver Threads Among the Gold
This year’s keynote address will be Silver Threads Among The Gold ... The urban regeneration gap given by celebrated Auckland architect, Jeremy Salmond.
Jeremy will speak on the theme of creating harmony between the old and new in architecture, referencing his work on major projects to rehabilitate and adapt important heritage buildings, including Auckland’s Civic Theatre, Pompallier Mission in Russell, St Matthew in the City Church in Auckland, Sacred Heart Cathedral in Wellington, the former Auckland Chief Post Office and Auckland War Memorial Museum. He is currently the heritage architect for the Britomart Precinct in Auckland.
Refreshments are available from 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Admission is by koha for Greytown Heritage Trust members and $20 for non-members.
