Research Your House workshop

Who used to live in your house? Who used the land before? How was the house laid out originally? What changes and alterations have been made over time?
Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga is once again hosting a workshop in Wellington on how to research your house.

The workshop will be held on Saturday 13 November 2021, covid restrictions permitting, from 10am until 1.30pm in the board room at Antrim House, 63 Boulcott St, Wellington.

We will have expert presenters from Archives New Zealand, the Wellington City Archives, Wellington City Library, National Library of New Zealand, a research consultant and staff from Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga.

“This workshop provides a great opportunity for property owners and general public to learn about land records, online resources and various other tools and information needed to help understand properties. We are pleased to facilitate this workshop as there is growing interest in learning about the history of properties and the stories they tell,” says David Watt, Senior Outreach Adviser Regional Services, Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga.
