Beautiful, historic Alberton built in 1863, provides intimate and picturesque settings for personal celebrations and occasions, as well as corporate meetings and functions.
Picture your special event here - we can help with birthdays, anniversaries, bridal & baby showers to corporate functions such as product launches and client events. A wide range of functions can be hosted from cocktail style services, to formal dining in the ballroom, to garden parties with music and drinks on the verandah.
A private High Tea served from the house's collection vintage fine china tea cups and antique silverware is the most popular style event and makes for a memorable occasion. We can assist in recommending caterers, in advising on the set-up and have everything you’ll need for a splendid tea party down to the finest details!
We are flexible in allowing hirers to choose their own caterers or self-cater and to decorate the house and grounds in order to personalise their events.
Meetings and corporate functions
Alberton is a refreshingly different setting for meetings, presentations, workshops and team days. The 45 metre-square Victorian ballroom can accommodate up to 70 delegates theatre style and 40 seated boardroom style. This room flows onto the verandah overlooking the garden, which makes an ideal space for break-out sessions and for serving refreshments and lunch.
The house is a peaceful and secluded setting available Monday to Friday and on weekends.
A celebration of life
Both the elegant formal ballroom and peaceful garden are settings suitable for a funeral service for those who choose to celebrate the life of a loved one in a secular setting. Alberton is a grand, historical site which also has the intimacy and warmth of a family home.
The verandah and ballroom are ideal spaces for hosting receptions with tea, coffee and refreshments. We can recommend caterers who will be able to take care of everything for you.
