Old St Paul's is closed to the public for seismic strengthening work from Saturday 4 May until late 2019.  You may read more about the project and how you can help with our fundraising appeal here.

Tours

Brief introduction to Old St Paul's: $5.00 per person.  Please book ahead.

Guided tours for groups are available by arrangement, and may be customised to your requirements. Contact the Visitor Programme Co-ordinator to discuss your requirements and arrange a convenient time. Charges apply.

Written information which takes you on a self-guided tour discovering the history, the chattels and the stained glass windows of Old St Paul’s is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Japanese, and Chinese (donations are appreciated).

Education programme

Experience Old St Paul's is an education programme exploring the landscape, heritage and significance of this iconic place. Students will experience fun hands-on activities involving team work, problem solving, initiative and inquiry. Tailored to pupils in years 5–8.

Gift Shop

Visit our gift shop and all-year-round Christmas shop and take away a memento from our range of beautiful gifts, souvenirs and Christmas decorations.  From quirky kiwiana objects, jewellery and retro toys to crosses, rosaries and religious medals to Christmas decorations, nativity scenes, advent calendars and Christmas cards. Specialising in locally made goods, there is something to suit every taste. All proceeds of the Old St Paul’s gift and Christmas shop go towards crucial maintenance work.

Wheelchair access

Old St Paul's is accessible to wheelchairs. Some aisles may be narrow for motorised chairs.

Public facilities are available.

Old St Paul's is centrally located.

Walk - 2 minutes from Parliament buildings and the Beehive, or 5 minutes from Lambton Quay.

Bus/Train - the bus interchange and Wellington Railway Station are 5 minutes walk away.

Drive - straight off the urban motorway from the north or south, take the Murphy Street and Thorndon exits.
