Become a member of Heritage New Zealand - today - fill in the details on the form below. You can also use this form to renew or gift a membership to someone else. You can choose to join for one year, for life, or pay for five years now, and receive an additional six months membership for free.
Additional charges apply for sending magazines overseas. Subscription fees are not refundable.
If you are able, an additional tax-deductible donation provides much appreciated extra funds to meet the growing challenges in the preservation of New Zealand's historic places. A receipt for tax purposes will be posted to you separately.
Once we’ve processed your application, we’ll post you out a membership pack which will include your personalised membership card to the address you give as your primary postal (billing) address. The agreements we have with all our partners and providers of membership privileges require presentation of a valid membership card. We do not provide electronic or other verification of your membership as an alternative.

For the first time in 11 years, following an investigation into our membership programme charges and costs, we have increased our prices on some categories of membership so they reflect the truer value of the membership package we offer. We have also removed some categories to make it easier for us to manage and for you to join or renew. The changes will most affect those who live outside New Zealand. You can find out more here. Processing times and delivery
The processing plus delivery time for standard membership (new and renewing) at this of year is a minimum of two weeks. We cannot guarantee delivery of cards in time for Easter, Christmas or any public holiday or special event. The Express Service option (for delivery to a New Zealand address) permits priority processing within five business days, with delivery time additional to this.
Gift membership packs will not be posted overseas unless the international membership fee is paid.
Christmas/New Year 2019-20
To have reasonable confidence that your new membership (NZ address only) will arrive before the festive period, we'll need to receive your application by Wednesday 11 December. New and gift memberships purchased after 11 December may not be delivered until after the Christmas/New Year period.
Membership Services will be closed from 24 December - 5 January inclusive

To ensure your security, credit card details are sent through a secure payment server. The currency referred to is New Zealand dollars. The accepted cards are Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
Membership fees are not refundable. A valid membership card must be presented to obtain any membership benefits and privileges.
Bank security feature
If your credit card is issued by the Bank of New Zealand, Westpac or by a bank outside New Zealand, you may see a pop-up box (3D secure) after entering your credit card details into the online payment system. The "Verified by Visa" or Mastercard "SecureCode" scheme is a measure to promote security, and prevent fraudulent transactions. The 3D Secure facility requests a password related to the use of your card. The feature is provided by your bank, and is not related to Heritage New Zealand or this website. Please contact your bank directly if you have any concerns.
Trouble-shooting tip: Non-registration of your card for a 3D secure password or clicking 'cancel' on the 3D secure page may lead to your payment transaction being declined. Please try again, and wait for the 3D secure page to appear.
