This historic place was registered under the Historic Places Act 1980. The following text is from the original Proposal for Classification report considered by the NZHPT Board at the time of registration. Built c.1868. This is a very simple colonial cottage, built hard up to the street. Formerly a church and a lawyer's office, and now a private home. Makes a contribution to the streetscape.
