Te Puke o te Mauri Tapu o te Kotahitaka is a small hill (puke) approximately 20 metres in diameter, located 33 metres above sea level on the hillside terrace overlooking the north bank of the Arahura River approximately 500 metres east of State Highway 6 on the Old Christchurch Road. The extent of the place to be registered is confined to the puke only - there is no buffer zone. Registration includes part of the land parcel described as Lot 2 DP 394182 (RT 376787) Westland Land District.
